The interior of the new kitchen-living room has become simple and practical, with rustic charm and an abundance of natural materials.
Project designer Ivanova Tatyana gave the room the charm of a farmhouse that absorbed the aesthetics of rural architecture and the functionality of modern design trends. Soft creamy tone, milk and bread color, charcoal, natural linen, textures of sheep's wool and freshly sawn wood formed the basis of the colors and materials of the interior.
Natural materials have become the main reference to the rustic theme. Spruce lining, toned in white, as if milk had spilled over the walls of the room. The light shade was accompanied by the warm light brown color of rosewood, which added contrast to the space. Sheets of durable 21 mm thick construction SyPly plywood were laid on the floor, which was additionally treated with an antiseptic. Such plywood is often used in building structures when the appearance of the front side of the plywood plays a secondary role, and the strength characteristics do not differ from high grades. SyPly plywood is practically odorless and harmless to health, so it can be safely used indoors. Laminated flooring in a light shade of oak was laid on top of the plywood.
In the living room area, a pine shelving merged with the wall, repeating its exact color. In the middle of the composition there is a place for a TV, which is hidden behind sliding doors. Opposite the shelving is a sofa of two modules. Light upholstery in linen imitation is another reference to rustic motifs. And in order for the living room to become the real “heart” of the house, a wood-burning hearth was installed in the room. A cast-iron potbelly stove with a glass-ceramic door was installed on a long metal podium, which lay along the wall in the living room. She decorated the room and, if necessary, can heat it.
The arrangement of the kitchen was approached as responsibly as possible, so that two housewives could find a place for culinary creativity. The set occupied three walls – the length of the working surface exceeds 4 meters, so there is enough space for cheese making, which is done by the hostess of the house, and for baking bread by grandmother, and for home cooking. An updated dining room is located near the enlarged window. There is a new table with a long top on massive oak legs. Seats near the window are pouffes in the same upholstery as the sofa, and opposite the window there are four birch chairs painted in the colors of the interior.
