The new interior is built around the stove, which becomes the architectural center of the space, and a soft palette, expressive textures and thoughtful furniture transform the kitchen-living room into a place where it is equally convenient to cook, gather with the whole family and relax
When the space of the house is formed around a live fire, the interior takes on a special character. In this project, the designer literally “dances from the stove,” transforming it from a massive brick structure into an elegant snow-white tower around which the entire composition of the kitchen-living room is built.
Transformation begins with redevelopment. Thanks to this, the room has a full-fledged sofa area, a large dining table for the whole family and a functional kitchen with comfortable work surfaces. The basis of the interior palette is calm gray-blue shades, complemented by deep wine-red accents.
The kitchen set is lined up at the entrance. Tall pencil cases frame the hob area, then the line of cabinets continues along the window and smoothly turns into a peninsula, forming a convenient work route. For the manufacture of all modules, Lamarty chipboard in the “Marble Birch” decor was used. Light wood texture with a delicate pattern helps maintain the visual lightness of large furniture. The artistic character of the kitchen is given by additional strips of a rich wine shade, which create an expressive graphic frame reminiscent of the work of cubist artists. The end of the kitchen is completed by a mirror in the same wine-colored frame. This effect is supported by the countertop, kitchen apron and window sills made of red marble, and the slopes are decorated with LDF wine strips, which connect all the accent elements with each other.
The continuation of the kitchen becomes a cozy seating area. The sofa takes pride of place, with a round swivel chair next to it. A round dining table in a dark wood tone gathers chairs with hugging backs and wicker seats, while a rattan rocking chair becomes the perfect place to watch the live fire.
