The kitchen-dining room project was conceived as a dialogue between nature and austere classicism. The kitchen and stairwell seem to bring forest vistas to life: dense thickets lead deep into the forest, and a massive black table stands at the light edge of the forest, setting the rhythm of the entire space.
The interior is built on classic design principles, but presented in a fresh and modern way. White walls with carefully placed moldings serve as the backdrop for all the design elements, enhancing the feeling of spaciousness. This light base allowed accents to shine: decorative wall panels add a lively touch, while wood grain finishes lend warmth and texture. The designer strived to maintain a balance in the kitchen-dining room — classic restraint meets vibrant details, creating a dynamic and inviting space.
Even before beginning the decorative transformation, it was important to lay a solid foundation. SyPly 21-millimeter-thick birch plywood was used for the flooring. It holds the insulation and protects the structure from moisture, creating a strong and durable framework for the future interior. This subfloor allowed for confident finishing and filling.
Storage in the kitchen and adjacent stairwell was equally carefully considered. A monolithic composition of Lamarty laminated chipboard in a "Bamboo" decor was created in the stairwell, where the ceiling, built-in storage system, and railing form a single unit. The cabinet fronts blend into the paneling, eliminating visual noise and creating a seamless architectural form for the staircase. The wood decorwith a soft, natural grain complements the overall "forest edge" theme, while integrated lighting between the steps adds a lightness and subtle shimmer — as if sunbeams filtering through the branches.
The kitchen continues this idea of unity and spaciousness. The linear section of the kitchen unit is made of Lamarty laminated chipboard with white lamination and black profile handles. The interior is richly furnished: pull-out baskets, tandem drawers, and soft-close storage systems — everything is designed for convenience and ergonomics. A Lamarty laminate island in the "Medea" decor with a distinctive oak veneer pattern has been installed in the center of the kitchen. Its deep amber hue imbues the room with nobility and stability, adding a touch of luxury while remaining cozy and balanced. A glass countertop completes the composition, adding practicality.
Tall tall cabinets line the wall: one in a wood-like "Bamboo" decor, the others in a soft gray "Teffy" shade. Open shelves above and to the sides complement them, perfect for displaying books, dishes, or favorite decorative items. Vases occupy a shelf, salt and pepper mills occupy the countertop, and the dining table is adorned with golden dishes and a green arrangement. Pomegranates on the island, according to Armenian tradition, promise prosperity and good luck to the home.
