In the new episode of the 'Dachny Otvet' program, a children's room for four sisters is transformed into a fairytale space where each girl has her own cozy spot for sleeping and creativity.
In the new episode of the “Dachny Otvet” program, a children's room was completely transformed. Unlike typical solutions for multiple children, this design avoids bunk beds and complex structures. Since the house already includes a dedicated study room, the children’s bedroom focuses solely on being a cozy space for sleep, play, and creativity. Inspired by this concept, designer Elizaveta Ashkenazi created a unique and safe environment where every interior element is thoughtfully designed down to the last detail. The centerpiece of the project is a trio of beds for the triplets, arranged like in a kindergarten—with their headboards against the wall. This layout is not only convenient but also safe, as it frees up space for play. The older sister’s bed is placed opposite the others, and each girl has her own “little house,” symbolizing her personal space. Instead of bulky structures with roofs and dividers, the beds in this room are compact, leaving more space for the girls to be active. Over time, the beds can be replaced with longer ones, without sacrificing comfort or functionality. One of the distinctive features of the room is the use of bright color accents. White walls provide a sense of spaciousness and lightness, while large splashes of color highlight the beds and other elements. To add coziness and vibrancy, multicolored lighting has been integrated into the decorative features, including a 3D wall where LED strips create the effect of a magical town. A special detail in the room is the use of MDF clouds that conceal the lighting fixtures, creating soft, diffused illumination—ideal for winding down before sleep. Each of the triplets' beds is designed as a small “house” made from planed timber in one of three colors: soft terracotta, green, or yellow, allowing the girls to choose a shade they like. To evoke a forest fairytale atmosphere, stylized trees were “grown” around the houses, crafted from high-quality SyPly BIRCH TOP plywood. The intricately carved silhouettes were CNC-machined, finely sanded at the edges, and coated with a clear varnish. SyPly plywood has no odor and is entirely safe for health, making it an ideal material for children's rooms. Functional storage solutions are also included, such as drawer units and wardrobes. Two drawer units are topped with a countertop to create an additional functional surface. The wardrobes and shelves are made from Lamarty chipboard in the “Snow White” decor, which perfectly matches the room’s color palette. All drawers feature soft-close mechanisms for added convenience. Additional storage is provided by bedside units with two drawers next to each bed. A full-height wardrobe was also installed in the room. The play area ensures the girls are never bored: a small table and four “bunny ear” chairs offer a perfect spot for activities and creativity, all with rounded edges for safety. The space also includes two soft poufs—currently oversized for the kids, but sure to become favorites among the parents.
